Excellent ROL. I don't think there is a math teacher on the planet who has not struggled with the homework issue - assignment value , completion rate, to score or not to score... it is a labyrinth with no end in sight. And to further complicate matters, it seems the research is often at odds with itself. However, the bottom line is that practice makes proficient (or practice makes permanent), so both teachers and students need to do whatever it takes to make sure learning happens.
